automation rule capability to pull values from object changing and pass to linked object

I wish for an automation rule capability that can detect a change on one object (or a row of a custom table), then take action to assign a value to a linked object (or connected row of connected custom table) where that value comes from the object that was changing.

As example: an attribute of a custom table row is updated, and you wish to push that value or another value from the same custom table row to some other linked item in its similar field.

Another example: a score value is a custom field on the epic, and you wish to push that same value down to all the child features as a score value (my users requested this recently).

this functionality improvement would provide parity to the tooling my users have observed elsewhere that can assign values from one object to another for just about any attribute of the changed/created data object.
