When a user that's not allowed to use the Ideas Portal is trying to register he gets the "Your email domain does not allow you to self register" error. Can I use this error to either redirect the user to ask him to browse to a form where he can enter his email address for approval?
Seriously, I cannot believe this isn't an option.. In a perfect world, it would be great to allow them to fill out a registration form and put that new user in a queue, that we could approve/reject
Rather than reject users because the domain is not valid send to an approval process

The self-registration feature in Portals is nice. But the "safe" domains can create some management overhead and unnecessary calls. If the domain doesn't exist then rather than say Your email domain doesn't allow you to self register
