We're unable to use a private portal because we don't know the domains of every customer and can't get them. Therefore we're forced to use a public portal, but now our competitors can see the ideas and our responses. I'd like the ability to require approval of public portal users before they can do anything. They register as today, but then they are told that they need to wait for approval before they can use the portal. Once one of the admins approves them, they have the full access to the portal.
Ok that makes sense! There is a similar idea for an approval process for private portals here: https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/AFPR-I-7594
I will merge these ideas and your vote will be added to that idea. You will also be subscribed to it so you will be notified of any updates. Thanks!
Thanks for your quick response! I'd like them locked out of even seeing the ideas until we approve them. The trouble is our competitors could mine the ideas and our responses to get information about our strategy and new capability coming out. We'd like to control the set of people who can see any of it, without having to whitelist domains which isn't possible for us.
Hi there, thank you for your idea. I have one quick question just to clarify what you are looking for. When you say the users would need to be approved before they could use the portal, would you want them to be locked out from seeing ideas? Or would you like them to be able to see the ideas, but only add new ideas, votes, and comments once they are approved? Thanks!
