Allow admins to build custom quick start guide

Challenge:

Large organizations often have a specific "happy path" that new users need to follow: specific actions they need to take when they come into Aha!

They need an easy way to provide guidance to new users so they do not become overwhelmed with areas of Aha! that are not important while getting started.

Idea:

Give admins a way to provide their own "quick start guide" that provides navigational guidance. Right now there is an option to provide a link to documentation (Settings > Account > Profile) but I'm proposing something more robust and visual.

For example:

The admin can build out custom steps in the quick start guide -- with a specific location and action. The user can then open or dismiss as needed. They should be able to reopen it at any time for a reminder. Simple example:

  • Navigate to your team's workspace here (direct user to workspace dropdown)

  • Create your epics and populate budget information required for annual planning (direct user to epics board, "Add epic")

  • Add new feature requests (direct user to Ideas > Overview, "Add idea")

  • Review roadmap templates (direct user to Roadmaps > Overview)

They should be able to provide text at each step for additional guidance and links.

When processes change, admins can update this guide accordingly.

Benefits:

  • Allow new users to onboard with ease

  • Drive adoption and reinforce behavior

  • Lessen the lift on admins to train and onboard new users

  • Empower users to follow the happy path
