Currently, users are limited to submitting feedback either through the Ideas portal or by sending an email, which means they have to leave the context for their idea in our product and then find the portal or send an email. We would like to be able to streamline the idea submission process as much as possible, and avoid taking customers away from our application in order to submit suggestions.
Example: UserVoice has a Chrome extension for idea submissions that people can access without leaving our product.
You can now empower your customers to submit ideas and feedback while they are using your product. Introducing the new in-app widget for Aha! ideas portals — available with Ideas Advanced.

The status of this is "Shipped", but I've been told that there is no Chrome Extension for submitting ideas, like many other tools out there that I've used in the past. Any update as to when this will actually be live? Should a new idea be submitted specifically for a Chrome extension?
Our company uses the ideas portal for product feedback collection. However the challenge is client engagement. We find that they don't want to stop what they are doing to log into a portal to enter their idea. We feel that if they were to leave quick feedback while they are in the middle of their "problem statement moment" they would be more likely to contribute ideas.
Also, we find that only a specific persona (the application administrators) contribute their ideas. They tend to be terrible at collecting feedback from their end users to get feedback. We feel like if we had an in-app tool it would be a more accurate representation of the user perspective.
This is a great idea, it would be great if we could have a Widget that could be embedded in both Web and Desktop applications. It would make it a lot easier to get feedback from the user this way.
