Notification to watchers list for new ideas submission
Any one who is on the watchers list should receive an email confirmation when a new idea is submitted for that product. Currently,the watchers list is getting notified when a new comment is added to an existing idea.

Thank you for your idea. This is currently possible by watching the Ideas -> Overview page. Any user watching this page will receive updates of new ideas created based on their notification preferences.

Our portal users -- ie our customers -- want to get notifications when new ideas are added to the portal. This would help them say engaged and aware of updates on the portal, without having to leave their regular workflow and check in on the portal periodically, and would increase engagement

Hi Brett, the Ideas -> Overview page is product-specific so you should be able to accomplish what you are looking for. You will just need to select the product in the main product dropdown and then set yourself as a watcher for the Ideas -> Overview for that product.
Dear Admin, perhaps I misunderstand, but I don't believe what is currently available is what I'm looking for. I do NOT want to be notified of all new ideas company wide. I only want to be notified of new ideas for the product teams I oversee (and as a bonus, any ideas that get moved into my product team from a different product team, as sometimes ideas get submitted to the incorrect product team).
