Currently we use web reports linked from Confluence to restrict the visibility of registered viewers on certain product roadmaps. However, the report view isn't really as good as the default Aha view which is much easier to navigate.
But giving Viewers full access to a product can be problematic as views on Roadmaps and Versions sometimes give our sales teams the wrong impression about what is and isn't coming or provides more information than they can sensibly make use of. We'd love to be able to restrict viewers to just the Strategy sections and share our Roadmaps via Reports where we have a bit more control over the messaging.
Thank you for your idea. There are two key ways to share information from Aha! with others -- via Notebooks and by giving them direct access. The Viewer role provides users the ability to go deeper into product information in a read-only manner.
If there are certain reports that you would prefer your viewers to focus on, we would recommend adding those to a folder in the reports dashboard and communicating specific guidance internally. Based on historical feedback and current priorities, we are unlikely to make changes in this area. We hope you can understand.
