One of the more important things we'd like in regards to idea creation is the ability to create SLA notifications on them. For example, let's say that an idea comes in - we'd like to be able to say that we are going to reply to the idea within 1 business day and, if we don't, get an e-mail or some form of notification that we haven't.
The Aha! support team suggested that we could make a report that we could look at for the aging ideas - but we'd prefer to have actual notifications on them rather than a report that people would need to navigate to.
We may be able to create our own notification service by utilizing the REST API provided by Aha! - but we'd prefer if we didn't have to maintain something like that.
The first part of your request can be achieved today. Within Idea portal settings, you can customize many of the emails which get sent to your portal users.
Within the "thank you" email in particular, you could let the user know that you'll reply within 1 business day (along with any other information that you would like to communicate).
In regards to the second part of your request, the Aha! support team's suggestion around the saved can be one workaround. As could leveraging the REST API.
At this time, we don't have plans for updates in this area based on current priorities, but we hope that you may be able to leverage the suggestions noted.
