Email notification only for when an idea is first created

My team is currently using an Idea Portal, but they only want to receive emails when a request is first created.  This is to reduce the noise, since they do not want to receive emails for every change in a ticket.

    Thank you for the idea. As you know, watchers will receive notifications for any change made to records they are watching. However there are a couple ways to reduce the amount of emails received. One is to click Email watchers -> Do not send email after a record has been updated. A second option is for users to set their email preferences to send hourly or daily digest emails for records they are watching. This will consolidate all changes into a single digest email. This article contains more details on notification preferences and how to update them.

    Given the options above, and current priorities, we are unlikely to implement this idea at this time. We hope you understand.
