My team is currently using an Idea Portal, but they only want to receive emails when a request is first created. This is to reduce the noise, since they do not want to receive emails for every change in a ticket.
Thank you for the idea. As you know, watchers will receive notifications for any change made to records they are watching. However there are a couple ways to reduce the amount of emails received. One is to click Email watchers -> Do not send email after a record has been updated. A second option is for users to set their email preferences to send hourly or daily digest emails for records they are watching. This will consolidate all changes into a single digest email. Given the options above, and current priorities, we are unlikely to implement this idea at this time. We hope you understand.
