Idea Categories allow for a single choice in the ideas portal. But we need the ability to filter on two dimensions, for example by Category (reports, search tool, map, etc) and then by a Vertical custom field.

We currently use custom fields to allow our end users to raise ideas for specific products within our product suite. We've had a lot of feedback from our end users that being able to filter on specific product would be very beneficial to them. This idea has been open for 8 years... Are we likely to get any sort of admin response?
This feature would be very beneficial for our end users that want to filter on more than just status. We use custom fields very extensively and being able to add 1 or more of those to our ideas portal would make for a much better UX.
I want to be able to filter by customer fields in Ideas portal, so I agree with the title. I'm less concerned about being able to filter on two different dimensions. Does this ticket cover just the ability to filter by customer fields instead of just by "category" or should I create a different ticket?
We use Technology as a crucial diffrentiator for ideas within our business. We want users to be able to select technology to get an overview of potentials. How can we add this as filter to the portal?
This is also critical for the success of my company using the ideas portal for feedback. We need to filter by two dimensions - which category something belongs to, and once further for which product this is for. For example, we would need to filter if something is a feature enhancement (category) and for which product this applies.
We need this to be able to filter ideas by category or Intended release. There are lots of ideas, and we want internal stakeholders to filter to a distinct set of ideas - and vote on all within that filtered set. We would use this for prioritization of that fixed set.
This would be a great thing for us as well. Adding a custom field to the filter list would allow us to use the tool as both a customer-facing portal but also an internal tool, to track progress. This would be great.
Hi Ben, we are likely to implement the feature request at some point in the future but it has not yet been prioritized. I would recommend moving forward with the other idea portal without it.
Hey I see this is likely to implement and am curious if there is any delivery estimate on this. We are debating whether to go ahead and ramp up another idea portal for a different product or wait for this and allow users with both products to contribute ideas from a singular portal. Either will work but our decision is a bit dependent on the timeline for this feature
Our company would love to see this happen as we have decided to use one portal for all product feedback, and would love to be able to include our custom 'product' field as a filter option.

This is a request I receive at least once a week.
Agreed, being able to sort by a custom field is highly desired for the application of our idea portals.
Like everyone else on here, we are anxiously awaiting the implementation of this functionality.
It would be helpful to know where this fits onto the current roadmap.
