Searchable Custom Fields on Ideas Portal

Right now the only searchable items (through the search bar) on the ideas portal are free text fields.

I would like for the custom fields on the ideas, such as drop downs like Editable choice list, to also be able to be searched in the search bar by portal users.

Ex: We are already utilizing the idea categories to break down the ideas by products/projects. We want to have a custom field drop down list on the New Idea template where selection options would be Client groups, and once selected and idea created, the client can search for the ideas entered by a certain group.

There was an issue that was preventing certain custom fields from being searchable in ideas portals. This has been resolved -- so all fields visible in the portal should now be searchable.

    Ideas portal searches

Customers are expressing frustration in not being able to search on other fields than description.  We have created  fields for industry and business persona in order to make it easier for customers to find duplicate or similar ideas for voting but this does not work since these are not searchable.

Custom idea fields that show when adding an idea on the portal do not show when searching for an idea.
