Allow Requirements on Master Features

We use master features to define use cases that require work from multiple products. The features linked to the master feature come from those different products. However, we need the ability to put requirements on a master feature to be able to track that the performance requirements for the solution are met. We could then create test cases against those requirements for our end-to-end testing. Right now, the master feature description becomes a list of requirements, and those are not individually tracked, which becomes difficult to manage.

Thank you for your idea. There are a few options for handling this now.

    • Adding a custom field to master features to capture performance requirements

    • Enterprise+ customers could create a custom table to capture performance requirements. You could add a master-detail relationship to the master feature and capture records for each master feature. These could then be tracked using a custom status field on the table.

    • Adding a "Performance requirements" feature to the master feature. You could then capture each requirement directly on that feature.

Given the options currently available, we are unlikely to implement this idea. We hope you can understand.
