As a user, I would like to have the ability to define number of votes available by the company or email domain of my portal users, so that I can provide a balance between larger and smaller customers.
Our client sizes can vary significantly, so when we are pushing for votes for particular enhancements, the large companies have an advantage by just having more employees go in to vote on their preferred enhancement. By adding the ability to limit votes by domain or some kind of portal user grouping, that would allow us to create more equitable voting capabilities.
By the way - it was our largest client who suggested this, as they are well aware that they have the ability to stuff the ballot box and use that to their advantage...
Thank you for the idea. At this time we do not limit voting by email domain in order to increase portal engagement on ideas. When evaluating ideas, we would recommend using the Votes link in the Activity section of the idea or a report that includes the email domain of all voters to gauge the distribution of votes across customers.
