While reviewing ideas with clients and internal stakeholders, I would like some of their votes to count more (or for them to have more votes) than others. For instance, the CEO of the company or the VP of Fundraising's opinion on an idea would count more than the Fundraising Assistant. Right now I can give all portal users a certain number of votes, or make it unlimited for everyone. Perhaps I could give the users with greater importance unlimited votes, while the joe schmo portal users would have a limited number of votes. Or perhaps the important users votes would be weighted (x2, x3, depending on the importance of the user).
Thank you for your idea. It is currently possible to override the vote limit for individual ideas portal users. From the Portal users tab click Edit for a portal user. You can then enter any number of votes you wish into the Vote allocation field for that individual user.
I have a variation on this use case that I hope will encourage you to re-evaluate, because I do not believe the current functionality sufficiently supports it.
We have clients that vary in size and scope. It would be great to indicate somehow if the vote comes from a large or small client and specifically the size. An improvement to the Salesforce integration could help support that if you were to receive that type of data from a CRM and store it to help weight the votes.
Our clients typically assign a single individual in their organization to monitor the ideas portal and do not have time to have multiple people enter a vote. We do not have time to review each vote, compare to size of practice and manually edit their vote allocation. This needs to be automated to function as requested.
Hi there. If you have entered a vote limit on the ideas portal Settings tab, you will then see the option to override the limit when editing a portal user.
I don't see the allocation field either
I agree with the other comment made. There is no vote editing option available
I don't see a vote allocation field when I click Edit on a portal user. I just see the ability to edit their name and email, resend the invite, or send a password reset email. Nothing about editing vote counts.
