We have a central point of contact for users to get in touch with us. It is via JIRA Service Desk. To keep it central, but efficient, it will be good if a submission into JIRA Service desk can take a particular issue type and automatically submit them into AHA as ideas.
Also this is currently a decision point for the organization I work for whether to get more aha licenses or discontinue, Since this limitation is causing more manual work. If this gets added that would sort out a lot of debates within the organizational stakeholders in terms of tool selection.
This is going to be extremely useful. We come across a lot of situations where bugs and idea are both submitted through JIRA service desk. If this integration is developed, It will enable us to easily filter out ideas from JIRA service desk and submit it to the idea portal. Please do priorities this development.
I would agree with the concept of having this integrate to Jira Service Desk as the flows/workflows can be extremely similar to Jira Software so hopefully wouldnt take too much engineering work. Equally the flexibility with having access to the service portal from Jira as well as then broader jira integrations for other jira teams could be very useful.
Wanted to add my voice to this, but for the opposite flow (AHA Ideas -> Jira Issue). In my case, we have sales guys using AHA ideas to submit a request for us to develop something 'non standard'. Before we make a business decision on that, we want to reach out to our devs to see if it's possible or not. We have a custom screen in Jira for this. The feedback from our devs then helps us determine if the idea will move forward or not.
This would be a great enhancement... How many votes does it take to get this out of the backlog???
Just posting to agree. Adding the integration with JSD so tickets can be forwarded to Aha as Ideas would be very helpful.

I agree with this post and with Peters comments. At various points in a support cycle it is often deemed that an issue is a new feature / enhancement so at that point it should ideally move from jira service desk and be sent to the ideas portal for management within aha ideas

In addition to the stated functionality, would like submission to AHA of existing issues when their issue type is changed by our CSR. Very often users will submit an issue as a "bug" and after dialog our folks reclassify as "enhancement" or "new feature". So need integration from JIRA SD both on initial submission and later reclassification. Ping me for more details if desired.
