Ability to Edit Custom Field "Type"

Hi,

We have instances where sometimes a custom field "Type" needs to be updated due to a later integration. It would be optimal to be able to adjust the existing field from one type to another (ie from "Predefined Choice List" to "Predefined Tags field").

Current system of using Bulk Edit to adjust the existing field to a newly created matching field with new "Type" is cumbersome depending on how many answers exist in multiple prods for pre-existing tickets.

    You can now change the data type and merge custom fields in your Aha! account.

      I have this need right now. I need to convert a field from a "Predefined Choice List" to "Predefined Tags field"....doing this manually will be painful.

    Retrospective change custom field type

    Provide ability to alter the original custom field type. Understand that some data types would not be compatible (date to number etc) but other databases do allow this capability with a prompt that some data loss may occur.
