I'd like to change a custom field from Editable Choice List to Tags. This would let users choose multiple values instead of a single value. But to do this, I have to delete the field and create another one, which destroys the data I've already entered. Please allow me to change between custom field types where data can be preserved. Going from a Note field to a Text field would also be non-destructive, so why not allow it? I can see this being tricky with all the different combinations, but maybe some are easy to enable?

You can now change the data type and merge custom fields in your Aha! account.
This is a big one for my team as well - agree with all of the comments below. Not having the ability to switch at the very least between different types of text fields has created a lot of technical debt, especially in our JIRA integration, when not setting up custom fields with the "right" type of text field during initial Aha! config/setup. Certain text types do not integrate well with JIRA, and we only discovered this after the fact, causing us to recreate custom fields.
I want to change the "pricing" field type from text to note so that I can better communicate tiered pricing models.
Similarly, I would like to be able to change from Text field to Note without losing content.
Agreed that change from Single Select to Multi-select should be implemented.
At least enable changing a field from single select to multi-select without needing to start over
I have run into this several times. As we learn how best to implement this tool, it is painful to make changes that should be relatively easy to do.
When is the capability to change the data type of a field available?
I want to change field type from editable choice list to predefined choice list. If I didn't care about data I would just add new and delete the current one but in my case I have a lot of records that would lose this data ( I want to preserve it).
I am trying to change the custom field type from Tags field to Predefined Tags field.
