Promote an Idea to a product

Hi there, I did want to note that it is currently possible to promote ideas to certain cross product records. Ideas can be promoted to initiatives -- which could live at the product line level and be linked to features across products. Ideas can also be promoted to master features in any product. I hope this helps!

Yes! Would also like abilly to promote to cross product records such as master release & master feature. This would give true flexibility to managing ideas, and as importantly, traceability. I’d love to be able to see in a product description the source of it via the idea and all the data that is in the originating idea record.

We are an internal innovation group and are using Aha to plan, prioritize and scope our projects. We have mapped our "project" to Aha products as that is how VSTS integration works. We are using Ideas to collect suggestions for future projects and would like to promote directly from an idea to a product.

Is there any update on the roadmap of this feature?

Thanks for the details on the work around but has an implementation date been set?  

Like George, we have an agile innovation management pipeline that is quite active and feel the same pains.

Unlike the existing work around of converting an idea to an initiative, then creating the product and linking up the initiative to the product. the new feature create the product automatically without the requirement of an initiative
