Use Functions in Pivot Table

Within the pivot table reporting, I want to be able to use functions to manipulate the values in my columns.

For example, I have a 'Business Requested Date' that I would like to only return the month/year value for and use those month/year values as columns.

Dates is the main thing I'd like to use this for but I could see other types of functions to change data in order to do reporting that would make my reporting much more meaningful to my customers.

    Thank you for the request. At this time, the suggested manual workaround would be create additional custom fields to reflect the format you desire. 

    We realize that this is manual workaround, but it can help to achieve the same end goal.

    In the near term, we do not have plans to make updates in this area due to current priorities and community feedback, but we will keep the idea open as it generates additional feedback over time.

    Thanks for the response, I appreciate the effort it would take to make this kind of adjustment.  If I could have a custom field that was still a date selection box that ONLY returned a certain type of date (e.g. a full month or quarter or year) then that would be an acceptable workaround.  Because the date selection is ONLY for specific dates it isn't much of a workaround.
