Rounding of custom date fields to nearest quarter/month in reports
An external release date can be rounded to the nearest month or quarter in reports. It would be beneficial if something similar can be done with custom date fields? This gives a product manager more flexibility in how to report custom dates to different audiences.

From a reporting perspective, this can be achieved by adding a 2nd custom field to designate the desired time frame (quarter, month, etc.).
We understand that this would require tracking another field, but would allow for the flexibility and greater report capabilities that you are hoping to provide for external stakeholders.
Based on the workaround noted above and our current product goals, we do not have plans to automate this functionality but hope that the proposed workaround can help with your reporting. We hope you can understand.
