Influence the way date are shown
With a release, you can set the external date to show an exact date or the week, or even the month. I would like to have the same option with dates in reports.
E.g. when showing feature due dates, only show the month, instead of an exact date (in scrum, this date is often not known that exact). This way expectations can be managed better.

As described, we currently have functionality within Releases to show external dates (where records can be specified at the quarterly, monthly or weekly level).
One potential workaround to demonstrate this at the Feature level would be to add a custom field to denote the month for the feature due date. We realize that this is an added step, but it can potentially be useful for specific reports which may be produced.
Given this workaround and our current priorities, we are unlikely to make changes in this area. We hope you can understand.

Indeed, for releases the requested functionality is already available. So the Idea is to extend this functionality for every occasion where dates are shown.
E.g. in the report attached, I can't set the date to "October".

You can already show external dates for releases in reports. Hi Ivar -- I think you are asking for the ability to add external dates for features, but wanted to clarify before I change the title of this idea.
