The platform I manage has a wide range of stakeholders. Not every release is relevant to everyone one (some are internal). I would therefore like to restrict who gets what information so it des not confuse people. I am not sure that preventing them getting the weekly email summary is the best way so I would like to be able to choose who in informed. Probably lots of ramifications around this.
There are many ways to share updates with your key stakeholders. The weekly roadmapping digest is one method, and you can customize who receives this by going to the Product -> Users page.
Each release also has "watchers" who will get updates on any changes (as they occur) for your releases.
You can also leverage Notebooks and create standard notebooks for each release. You can share these as Releases get pushed out and highlight specific features. Through notebooks, you can share URLs or PDFs with the specific people that you feel would benefit from the updates.
