Right now, I create a lot of to-do items, and they shouldn't be assigned to me, they need to be blank. Every time I create one, I save it, which automatically assigns it to me. Then I have to open the to-do item back up, clear my name, then close the to-do item again. It's maddening :)
An alternative would be to allow me to clear the "assigned to" in bulk edit, but so far I can't find a way to do that, only assign it to someone else (like a service account).
