Not sure why the "Reports" menu name changed to "Roadmaps" in the first place but it is a constant, confusing irritant within our organization. The menu name "Roadmaps" makes no sense here and is extremely confusing. Not everything under that menu is a roadmap. A roadmap can be considered a type of report but not vice versa. Others have submitted ideas to suggest making the menu term configurable. That seems like a polite overkill solution. Just change the "Roadmaps" menu name back to "Reports" and all is forgiven. No harm, no foul. It has to be an easy code change (I know all the help/documentation needs to be changed back too).
Thank you for your feedback. At this time based on the feedback we have received we do not have plans to change the navigation back to Reports. However we will continue to watch customer feedback here. We hope you can understand.
Sorry for the delay, David. This slipped by me.
We changed from "Reports" to "Roadmaps" because predominantly people are coming to Aha! for roadmaps. We wanted it to be clear where to go to create one. We explored separating the roadmaps and reports, but decided to leave it all together for now.
Thanks for linking Custom terminology for new "Roadmap" menu (https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/AFPR-I-7290). We left it open because it solves this confusion and provides other functionality as well. You make a great point that the two ideas are similar. I've merged this idea into AFPR-I-7290 to lend it more voting support.
Thanks for the update. Is it possible to describe the rationale behind why the name was changed from "Reports" to "Roadmap" in the first place? People in our organization are confused and frustrated by this and often ask the question. I'd like to be able to have something to tell them.
Additionally, I see this idea has been merged with another similar idea with the same "Unlikely to implement" status. I also see that there is a another separate idea (merged with another idea for configuration) that speaks to making the menu name configurable which has a "Future consideration" status. https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/AFPR-I-7290 That implies that there is a reason for original change, hence my question above in this comment.
