Fix the bug in date syncing between AHA and ADO

What is the challenge?

Dates added on AHA/ADO are not properly synced and show up on the other tool as +/- 1 day as a result of time differences between the two tools.

Expected behaviour:

  • When selecting a date in one tool, the same date appears in the other tool because of the automatic sync.

Current behaviour:

  • When selecting a date in one tool, another date appears in the other tool. :(

What is the impact?

For PO/PM there is actually no direct impact but because of KPI reporting impacting our SIRPS, the recommendation is now that we add a time to the dates.

All POs PMs need to continously perform manual actions on all of the initiatives, features and epics.

This amount of manual work costs SITA a lot of money because of the time it takes to add a time to all 5 or 6 mandatory dates we need to add. Not to mention, if the human makes an error in this process, it can impact the SIRP of the whole porftolio.

Describe your idea

The idea is to make sure that dates get synced properly by the sync.

Also, to make sure that these types of items get classified as Bugs and get solved automatically rather than people having to submit 'ideas'. Fixing bugs is part of the regular SITA software development practices.
