What is the challenge? |
I sometimes get assigned to-dos that are time consuming tasks that may take a few hours of time to finish spread over a few days. Currently, I have no way to indicate that I have begun work on the to-do other than adding a manual comment. I think the to-do owner would like to be able to see the current status of my to-do. |
What is the impact? |
To-do owner has little/no visibility into the status of the assigned task. |
Describe your idea |
Allow to-do assignees to optionally set a progress status for their to-do. It could be a small and simple set of statuses, and the default status would be blank instead of 'not started' since many times you may not need these statuses.
Those three may be all that is needed. The checkbox itself would still serve as the 'not started' and 'completed' indicator. |
