We archive ideas that are over a year old and have not received any votes to simplify our internal research. In most cases, these Ideas are already marked Will Not Do, so our customers don't need another notification that we're still not doing it. Also, since this is a bulk update any customer who submitted multiple ideas end up getting numerous updates, not a great experience.
If we could disable status notifications for specific statuses it would improve that customer experience. We currently work around this by disabling all notifications, making the bulk update, then reenabling notifications.
Not exactly. We would still like to display a status in the portal so if a user goes back and checks it they will know their idea has been reviewed. We just don't want to push notifications to them when we have decided not to implement their ideas.
Thank you for reaching out. You can edit your idea status workflow to choose which statuses will be shown in the portal. If you hide a status from the portal, then it will not generate notification emails to your portal users. Would that work for your situation?
