Automation trigger can use multiple values of the field being used to trigger

There are many use cases where a trigger needs to work when multiple possible values of the field being used as trigger occur. One such use case is an idea portal, where the automation assigns a PM based on the category of the idea submission. In our case, some PMs handle 10 product lines, each represented by 10 different categories, which today means I have to create 10 automation rules, each against a single value of the "Categories" field. This is very cumbersome. The feature would simply allow the selection of multiple values (the logic of "Categories = cat1 OR catB") of a single data field that is being used as the trigger.

Automation rules can now have additional conditions, so that you can better control when they run. You can also now select multiple field values to trigger a single automation rule. And we added a new trigger options for ideas based on the portal the idea was submitted in.

This would be great functionality as separate Approvals for each dropdown will generate multiple approvals as it is a multi choice field which causes user issues.

couldn't help but notice that you already have a multi-select UI element in the Ideas Advanced workflow builder :-)

I am glad to see this has been marked as likely to implement. Is there any indication what "likely" means in terms of a release date? Trying to save a LOT of work with this feature...

Multiple Triggers for Automation

It would be fabulous if the automation trigger could have an 'AND' rule. e.g. When idea is create AND category is 'X' then create 'to-do'
