Organizations / Contacts hard to manage and use

When you are "voting" on an idea, you have organization as a required field, however there is no way for me to make this a field that is available during idea submission. I have to create a custom table (organization), and then I have to manually enter all the organizations we have into that table. This means that for internal teams using this ideas portal, there is a lot of manual upkeep. It's hard in general to work with Organizations/Contacts because the ONLY way you can link them is through proxy voting. If you add a contact or organization after the fact - then you can't link them up without doing a full import/export.
