An Example: Organisations can not be displayed on Ideas portals alongside the name of the person creating the Idea. Organisation data can also not be displayed in the portal ideas. |

When there are a lot of customers from different market segments creating ideas, feedback has been received stating that understanding the creators organisation would be beneficial when deciding to vote or comment |
Describe your idea |
Having a custom field (text) that could have a calculation within it. For example, "=organisation segment or name" would enable the text field to be displayed against the idea when viewed on the portal The main use case is related to customer rather than internal users. A customer needs to understand what organisation a creator is from to understand the applicability of the suggestion to them. For example, where a customer has created an idea and this originates from a private organisation, this would not always be applicable to a public sector user |
The main use case is to support external customers rather than internal staff. Customers want to understand the creators organisation as this will govern applicability of a suggestion. For example, a suggestion on specific functionality made by a private organisation may not be applicable for a public sector organisation
@Guest Thanks for the idea! Can you share more about who should see the organization names in the portal? Do you want customers to be able to see each others' company names, or just let your internal employees see the org name?
