Unable to use Android device to comment on or edit idea description inside ideas portal

While attempting to edit a comment in an idea in an ideas portal I discovered that I was unable to do so while using the Chrome browser on an Android device. Clicking in the text area and then attempting to type does not work at all, also the placeholder text that is originally present in the text area does not disappear.
