We have reports that teams use and share. Often, those reports do not need to be in a notebook, because we are sharing with people who have access/license to Aha. However, we have a fairly consistent issue where sometimes links are copied (by copying what is in the URL) and shared and they actually don't match. So, we need a "shareable" link to distribute. A link that we can rely on and will not change.
For example, one of our product owners shared the following links. (I've edited the name to remove proprietary information.) As you can see, all of the links are different. They are all custom pivots, but the the # at the end is different on each item. However, when I clicked on them, they brought up the same roadmap, not 4 different roadmaps as the product owner thought he was sharing.

This is just the most recent example, but we have found this to happen many other times. We can't purposely re-create it, but it just seems to happen periodically. Not always, but often. I think if we had a more meaningful and shareable link, that would be helpful. If this is a bug, then fix it please. ha!
Austin - for what it's worth, I'm disappointed in what I see as a new issue that I think is a result of this change and honestly, it's making the my original request to have a clear URL to copy even more critical. The new experience is that if I copy a report URL, it gives me something that looks like this: https://company.aha.io/bookmarks/custom_pivots/(static link to report)/(dynamic link to this exact session of the report).
So when we copy links, we now have to copy only a portion of the link, otherwise, they get the information that was part of the dynamic link and if changes were made and saved since then, they aren't visible to the user. This is a really BAD user experience and equally as frustrating as what we had before.
So please re-open this request. It remains the same...please give a shareable link to copy/paste as needed and that we can use with confidence that will always show the latest version of the report. Thank you!
Ok, great. The behavior should be much better now. Let us know what you think!
Hi Austin - these examples are from this past Friday.
Hi there, we actually released an update over the weekend to improve the way report URLs work. Previously, if a report was not saved and you were working on other reports in other tabs, you would see the updates reflected in the report that was shared with you. This has been changed so you can now work on different reports in different tabs simultaneously.
Did you actually experienced this today or were the examples above were earlier examples? Thanks!
