It is possible to create notes and then export to notebook. This functionality is great but the potential is even greater.
It will be really good if the editor for notes was more in line with a wiki, which enables me to replicate a powerpoint slide (for example), so that I can template it, and produce that information quickly and it update into a notebook automatically (as the current export function from notes does).
We have many product managers, all needing to report in the same way, and being able to template this, create a template notebook, share this with them, and then enable them to copy he notebook and create their own version using their own product information is a key driver to adoption for us. The amount of time this will save across the business is huge.
Further, it will be great if a simple hierarchy structure can be applied to the notes section, enabling sections for "Meetings" and notes to be under there, ordered chronologically will be good.
This will also enable versions of the pages which will be required for the notebook generation as well.
The new mock-ups feature is a great start, and if something like that can be applied to the note formatting, then it will make the notes section far more valuable and keep Product Managers using the application.
