When we create a feature in Aha! and then send it to Trello, we need some way to query for all cards associated with a given release. Currently there's no easy way without retagging all the cards or manually populating a custom Trello field
We just released an enhanced Aha! integration with Trello that allows you to have full control over the way information flows between Aha! and Trello — in both directions. A feature's release in Aha! can now be written to any field in a Trello card, including custom fields.
However, at this time, Trello does not support searching on custom fields. A potential work around might be displaying the custom field on the front of the card (see attached). This would allow you to user the browser's find function to search for the desired release. We hope this helps!
After further investigation, it turns out that one can't search for the content of a custom field in Trello, so in order to query for all Trello cards in a release, the integration would need to use Labels. I recommend a convention like: "Aha! Release 3.19.2" (where the release name is 3.19.2), so that querying within Trello is possible, and so that it's possible to remove all other "Aha! Release" labels when updating the version.
