Assign Ideas to Product Lines - not just Products

This has been requested a number of times but I don't think it's been properly addressed. I don't want to assign some Ideas to a specific product. I want a Product Line to consider the idea. It could be a new Product, or a solution that spans products. All of the previous ideas have been dismissed as either supported by the "all products under one portal", or as not important. But "all products under one portal" doesn't solve this. All I want is to be able to submit an Idea to a Product Line, and not a specific Product.

    Thank you for the idea. Currently this is not prioritized because there is a simple work around that is working for many customers. The best way to handle this is to manage ideas through a central ideas product. This article provides more guidance on how to set this up.

Ideas functionality at a parent or organisation line

It would be great to have the ideas functionality at a parent or organisation level as well as workspace level. This could allow you to capture more generic idea or portfolio wide ideas.

Make product line selectable when creating idea

When user is not aware what products need to be included in developing the idea. There should be functionality to select product line or selecting couple of products together.

Ideas - promotion of ideas should be to product lines too

We are trying to capture all the ideas for current products, initiatives and NEW products into "IDEAS" ... This is a great place to capture, track and evaluate new product ideas too. But, the IDEA feature is limited as it seems to only support ID...
