When responding to an email from an idea the email is automatically added to the idea. The issue is that if the users PC has a virus it may automatically send an email with a virus as a PDF attachment. That virus will then automatically be added to the idea. It would be helpful if there was an option to stop attachments from being added from emails and only allow them to be manually added.

We have implemented file type restrictions for ideas portals uploads, which should indirectly help with this request. The attachment anti-virus scanning for Enterprise+ customers also scans attachments uploaded via email.
For this reason, we are marking this idea as unlikely to implement. However, we will continue to monitor this idea for community feedback.
