Allow turning off email notifications for submit-only ideas portal
My manager doesn't want to confuse users by sending them email from a totally different email address that has our company name attached to it. With the submit-only portal, would it be possible to turn off emails? I realize that users wouldn't be able to reply and update their ideas, but we'd rather capture that initial idea than send them emails from an unfamiliar company.
This idea's status was out of date and has now been updated to 'shipped'. It is now possible to turn off all emails sent from the ideas portal. Go to Settings > Account > Configure portals, choose your portal and select the 'Email branding' tab. There is a 'Turn off portal emails' checkbox at the top of the page.
Thank you for the idea. As noted in https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/APP-I-2427, we are unlikely to implement the idea of changing the From email address due to the constraints related to DKIM. However we still want to capture the idea of turning off email notifications all together, so I've made a small modification to the idea to limit it to this request.
