salesforce reports

As a member of a sales or support team, it would be useful to report on Aha! ideas in salesforce: Who's created what? What the status of items is? etc. Currently, this is not possible as the object used to link the idea to salesforce isn't populated with relevant information:

Owner name

Created by

Last Modified by

Similarly, Salesforce cannot trigger notification emails to the originator (or customer that the item is linked to) when there is a status change.
