Toggle description to mandatory in the ideas portal

The description field is not mandatory we would like to toggle it to mandatory or not

    It is now possible to make the standard Description field required in idea forms.

    Hi there, yes this is now possible. In a custom layout you can now make fields required -- including the description field. This article explains how to set this up in more detail. Thanks!

    I just checked and it seems to not have shipped????

    You cannot check the required box for descrition.

Allow to make the idea's description mandatory field ( required)

The description is passed on to another system and cannot be left blank. It is desirable to make it mandatory at the source when the idea is created. That will avoid us going back and forth with the creators to get it added.
