Provide a stage for new ideas to be reviewed before voting

I'd like the ability for new ideas to be in a state where they can't be voted on until the Admin enables it. This allows the PM team to review the idea and make sure it is understood and that it is truly only one idea and not multiple. We can "kind of" do this today by changing the default visibility to "Not visible in portal". But that makes it invisible to the submitter, which can be confusing.

I'd like it to be visible to the submitter so there can be some "back and forth" dialog before making it visible and available for voting. Even better would be to make it visible to everyone, allowing anyone who wants to comment before it actually is up for voting. We want to move our Ideas portal from Jive to Aha! within the next 1-2 months and this is one feature we've been wanting to implement.

    Thank you for the note. As you mentioned, there is the current workaround of handling this with the default visibility settings. This seems to work for many of our customers who would like to first review ideas before they are available.

    Through our custom email templates, you can communicate this to the idea submitter to let them know that you will review the idea before it becomes public.

    At this time, based on the existing workaround and current priorities, we are unlikely to make updates in this area. However, we hope that the additional customization around the email template can help with the use case.
