We have configured our ideas so that when an idea is submitted, it is not published in the Ideas Portal until it has been reviewed (and idea status changed). However this is confusing users as they want to be able to see their own ideas immediately. Would like a way for users to see their own ideas, but noone else to see them until they are published.
This is now possible with a new idea visibility option "Visible to creator". You can make this the default for new ideas submitted through your portal.
Agree with Carl. Along with ideas from their colleagues in same organisation, user should have ability to vote/agree/disagree feature, this way duplicate ideas can be avoided and user can just search the idea and use one of the feature if already corresponding idea is already logged. Also user should be able to add comment optionally.
Ideally users would be able to see the Ideas that they have raised and also those raised by their colleagues in the same Organisation irrespective of the Idea status and regardless of whether or not they are published.
