The overlapping of the chart should be a priority ESPECIALLY if has been a known issue for 8 years now. Not that this is the final fix for the issue, however, a quick simple little win is to expand the chart size especially when there is empty retail space on the page.

You need to navigate to Ideas Tab>Chart>idea priorities chart (not sure if this chart is a default one)
I'd consider this a bug and I'm surprised as it's been 7 Years since this was first reported, that too for such a major feature!
This is a definite need for the Idea Chart to be useful. I was very eager to begin using Aha for this idea chart feature and am disappointed that it is not user friendly. The current format does not allow you to see which ideas are listed if there is overlap. If you need more information I am happy to help.
