It would really helpful if I could reorder releases on the features board. I often work on multiple different projects simultaneously. And often there are parts we can release within project before everything else is done. So, we create multiple releases and ship them individually. But since timelines overlap with unrelated releases, they all get mixed together on the board. It would be great to group the related releases together.
Another reason I think it would be helpful is so I can prioritize releases on the board. Some projects have a short deadline, but aren't very important, and some projects have a long deadline, but are extremely important.
I’m really shocked this isn’t possible and has been marked as unlikely to implement. Reordering the releases in the Feature board would be super helpful, especially when you’re trying to prioritize releases for the team. If you created a release a year ago and it’s important but still waiting on a dependency and there are higher priority releases, it’s stuck as the first release in the view making the features board less usable.
How the Realeses in the Feturs board view can be orginized/reordered by the Release Time?
Hi Ron, can't you put this into quick win or "extra pizza every 5 items" bucket?
Currently, releases on the feature board are sorted from left to right by the Release Date. The reason for doing this is to allow teams to concentrate on the tasks they need to get done first (in order to meet the deadlines).
While we understand your use case, one solution can be to organize releases based on time and used Tags or other custom fields to denote the different projects which may occur within the release. Based on current priorities, we are unlikely to make changes in this area in the near-term.
