Drag and drop releases on the Stories view

In the Stories view, I can see my Releases all lined up next to each other. However, the order in which they are currently presented is not necessarily the order in which I want to organize them.
Intuitively, the UI makes it seem like the Releases are draggable/droppable, especially since you can drag and drop stories on the page to move them between releases. However, you can't, which leaves me frustrated, since it is not immediately obvious how Releases are organized on this page.
Build functionality that allows you to reorganize Releases on the Stories view by leveraging drag and drop functionality.

Thank you for your idea. The Features board organizes releases by release date to make it easy to visualize and focus on what will be delivered next. It is possible to drag and drop parking lot columns, so organize those how you need to for managing your backlog before scheduling items into a release.
Based on historical feedback and other priorities, we are unlikely to implement this at this time.

I like it and I agree, but since the column order is based on Release Date, how do you see dragging them working in that context?
