Shared Logins Across Multiple Idea Portals

We have multiple Idea portals that we use for each of our products and want to allow users to be able to access each of the portals from the same login information without having to re-register every time.  We can't implement SSO so there needs to be a system login that can maintain user credentials for multiple portals.

Separate products may need their own portal. A customer of one product is not necessarily a customer of another, so showing all products in one portal is unnecessary noise for that one customer. However, a customer of both products should be able to ge between both portals depending on what they are looking for. For this one should be able to add a portal users from a list of existing portal users when adding new users. ("add user from another portal" ) that way, they end up with the same ID but have access to more than one portal.

Do you really need separate portals? Now you can enable multiple products in the same portal which would sidestep the problem of users needing to register for separate portals.

When you look at the idea portal configuration under Account Settings, you can choose one or more products that should appear in a portal.

If a user is submitting a request in one portal, that user should still see that request as his/her own request no matter in which portal the request is visible.
