I would like to request for ideas with a "Will Not Implement" and "Already Exists" status to function similarly to a "Shipped" status where they are removed from the active list of ideas but remain searchable and in the count of ideas on an ideas portal.
These are all end points to an idea and thus should not be visible in the active list of ideas.
Marking these ideas as "not visible" in a portal does not work as those ideas will no longer be searchable to the user.
Thank you for this idea. I believe you can actually accomplish this today!
The behavior of the 'shipped' status is based on it being in the 'shipped' status category in your status workflow. If you would like 'already exists' and 'will not implement' to behave the same way, you can place them in the 'shipped' status category as well.
To do this, go to Settings > Account > Status workflows
Note - I recommend ordering your workflow so that these statuses after the 'shipped' status. This will make sure that 'shipped' is the status used for any automatic status updates.
Please let us know if you have any questions or issues.
Hi Cindy,
Great! I'm glad that works for you. I followed-up with our customer success team as well.
The status categories 'will not implement' and 'already exists' do not drive automatic status updates on ideas. You can learn more in this article.
Please let us know if you need anything else!
This solution does address my request, however if a Feature is marked as Will Not Implement or Already Exists, will the related idea (from when it was promoted to a feature) status the same accordingly? Or will it status as Shipped based on the category? (I also sent an email to the support team on this.)
Hello. I had posed this question to your support team and they told me there was no solution and I should submit this idea. Please make sure to pass this to them.
