Configure an Idea Portal to a Product Line. Merged

Our products are not independent, but integrated parts of an overall product line. As a result Ideas often have a Feature impact on multiple products in the product line. It would be nice to be able to configure an Idea Portal to a Product Line, and then be able to easily assign an Idea to Features in multiple products as necessary.

The work around we are using is creating a Product line that only carries product-line level initiatives. We use the product-line initiatives to push initiatives (Agile Squad Missions) as milestones to Github projects.

    The current "workaround" has some limitations and also in a large organization with mutiple product lines, we have now a duplication of the product lines just to become the placeholder for idea intake. This is a potential overhead with big risk of people trying to convert the ideas to roadmap items like capabilities/features/etc in the idea product and thus ending up with prefixes that are foreign to the products etc....

    it will be a win-win to have the portal be at the product line and we can "constrain" the promotion process to limit that we create the capability/feature at the product workspace and not the product line workspace.
