Populate "Description" in related ideas from another field

Currently when a user starts typing in an idea, ideas that look similar pop up to help avoid duplicate entry - this is great when titles are similar, but the description field for each related idea in the drop down pulls from the standard "description" field - and is blank if we don't use a description field.

We currently use a few custom fields instead of just 1 description field because we had problems with where there was too little info in the description section for us to actually respond or act on the requests.

Could we pull the "description" for this duplicate idea dropdown from another custom field?
