We use the default 'Abandon' status for Releases, which is a 'will not do' category. This is logical for Releases you are no longer planning to do, however, when you 'Ship' that Release, Aha! automatically updates the status to a different one categorized as 'Shipped'. This causes inaccurate data & is not expected behavior. If I have the ability to Abandon/not do something, I should be able to archive it (via shipping), and track it as such.
As a temporary solution, I've updated the category of 'Will not do' to Shipped, but this is inaccurate for reporting & historical data.
Thank you for the idea. This is possible today by selecting your Will not do release status. The release is no longer displayed on your features board and is considered complete. The status of this idea was out of date.
Hi Kelly- It does not because 'shipping' a release is the only way to auto-hide/archive Releases & Features from many views. To add another filter on every report is not an ideal user experience.
Thank you for the idea! Instead of 'shipping' an abandoned release, would it work for you to filter your reports and views to exclude the abandoned releases?
