Currently if a report folder is created, it is not automatically viewable for user types Contributor and below. A report needs to be created and shared in that folder for that folder to show up to these users. This poses a problem when a Contributor, Reviewer or View-only user creates a report and wants to store it alongside other reports. These user types cannot create folders, so they are stuck using only folders to which they already have access or not being able to group and store reports effectively.
Please add a folder option that allows a folder to be viewable to all users instead of making admins create reports in folders just to allow that folder to be visible.
This problem is more prevalent now that APP-I-6691 has shipped. Contributors are now able to create folders but until they add a report to that folder, other users are unable to see the folder. I would recommend this be adjusted so that the folder structure is visible to all users regardless of permissions and/or access to reports nested within those folders. Not being able to see the folder structure results in a very poor user experience when one user creates a folder and tells another user to navigate to that folder only to find that it is missing in their view.
